Lyrics

Waking to the morning gloom,
Dark shadows crown the sky,
Expectation fills the air,
For the cloudburst to arrive,
Cascading onto the window,
Melting colours into one,
An eternal deluge from the sky,
Reflecting things to come,
And that have passed away.

A heart eclipsed by greyness,
By a melancholic shroud,
The pools that fill with rain and grime,
Mirror a distant soul,
That is out of reach.

Seemed like this feeling would not leave,
A shadow on my life,
But sunlight shattering the gloom,
Enflamed my weakened hope,
Awakening.
