Lyrics

It perturbs me that I have no time to myself anymore,
It all zooms past, this lack of space niggles me to the core,
A third of my life’s my working week,
A third of my life I spend in sleep,
The rest is full of empty chores.

The hours I spend with my friends seem to rush and whistle through,
Next thing I know I’m clocking into a job I need to lose,
To while away the yawning hours,
Till five comes round and freedom flowers,
And I head home with no time to use.

And like a mad march hare, I run and run and run nowhere,
It seems I’m spinning round in my own confusion,
I want my own life; I want my own space,
I want my own time; I want my own face.

My mind is full of different ways to pass the hours; to spend the day,
Within my thoughts, so many things that I could do in so many ways,
And I’m determined to become free,
Not spend my time on the company,
To do what I want with my days.

And like a mad march hare, I run and run and run nowhere,
It seems I’m spinning round in my own confusion,
I want my own life; I want my own space,
I want my own time; I want my own face.

But first I need to dispel,
This apathy that enshrouds this hell,
And unlock the chains that bind my soul.

And like a mad march hare, I run and run and run nowhere,
It seems I’m spinning round in my own confusion,
I want my own life; I want my own space,
I want my own time; I want my own face.
