It's with great pleasure that I can announce that John Copestake's debut album, Primary Colours is now available on this site.

The eleven tracks on the album were written by John in the 1990s and I was lucky enough to hear some of these songs as they were written when we lived in student digs (at Bournemouth University) at that time.

The songs exhibit an acoustic folk style, reminiscent of Bob Dylan who is one of John's biggest influences. He took the opportunity on a number of occaions to play some of these songs live when he gigged in the 1990s and 2000s.

After many friends (myself included) harrassed him long enough, he was eventually persuaded to record these tracks as a single album, which he did in 2004 at Hilltop Studios in Torquay.

Since the album's release, John has emigrated to Brazil and has kept himself busy there. Unfortunately, his guitar has become quite dusty and - at the moment - there's no sign of a sequel. But I hope that giving these tracks a fresh outing will persuade him to get back into his songwriting.

Enjoy the album.
